Youth Athletic Development & Sports Performance

KintsuFit’s Youth Athletic Development & Sports Performance Program meets every athlete where they are, building strength, speed, coordination, and resilience through science-based, age-appropriate training. From mastering the fundamentals to preparing for the next level, our coaching focuses on strength and conditioning, speed and agility, and long-term athletic development.

We offer group, semi-private, and individualized sessions to ensure each athlete receives the attention, structure, and progression needed to perform at their best both on and off the field.

Ages 8 - 12 - Core: FunDamental & movement skills

Focus: Coordination • Balance • Body Control • Confidence

This stage is crucial to future athletic development, as it builds the foundation on which all future performance is developed. We teach athletes to move well and fast by emphasizing body control, movement quality, and coordination through engaging, age-appropriate training. Our approach builds confidence, control, and a positive foundation for lifelong athletic development.

Training Includes:

  • Movement and agility games to enhance coordination, quickness, and body control.
  • Core and posture development to improve stability, alignment, and movement efficiency.
  • Bodyweight strength and balance training to build a safe, athletic foundation.
  • Team challenges to promote confidence, discipline, and teamwork.

Goal:
Help young athletes move efficiently, build self-awareness, and develop a lifelong love for training and physical activity through structured youth athletic development training.

Ages 12 - 14 - Elevate: Athletic development & Strength

Focus: Strength • Technique • Power • Confidence

The Elevate phase bridges the gap between movement and performance.
Each session focuses on progressive skill development building strength, speed, and power through proper mechanics and age-appropriate progression.

Training Includes:

  • Fundamental resistance and weight training (technique first)
  • Sprint and acceleration mechanics for improved performance
  • Speed, agility, and quickness drills for reaction and control
  • Plyometric and jump progressions to build explosive power
  • Core stability, balance, and posture work for total-body strength

Goal:
Equip developing athletes with the strength, mechanics, and confidence needed to transition into advanced performance training.

Ages 14 - 18 - Elite: Performance & Power Development

Focus: Strength • Power • Speed • Resilience

The Elite phase prepares athletes to perform at the highest level.
Each session blends advanced strength and conditioning, speed and power training, and cognitive performance work to help athletes compete with precision and confidence.

Training Includes:

  • Strength and power development using progressive overload
  • Sprint, change-of-direction, and reaction drills for sport performance
  • Explosive plyometrics and movement efficiency training
  • Mental and cognitive training for faster decision-making
  • Recovery, mobility, and load management education

Goal:
Prepare athletes to perform, compete, and recover at their peak developing the physical and mental edge needed for collegiate or elite-level competition.
